Buying and selling
Buying
Freemans Park is a great community.
If you’re interested in buying here, let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll be in touch if something suitable becomes available.
The Body Corporate will soon publish a guide to help potential owners understand some of the key issues that the Committee is focused on when they are considering buying here. It will be a useful document and all potential owners should read it to increase their knowledge of Freemans Park.
We are also preparing a guide to welcome new owners or residents when they arrive, and help them after their exciting move to Freemans Park – so they know everything from rubbish days (every day) to how and when to use the MYBOS Residents app.
If you are going to be a landlord and rent your unit, don’t forget that the current Freemans Park Operational Rules have to be attached to your tenancy agreement; that you are responsible for ensuring your tenants comply with the rules; and that legally it’s the owner who is the member of the Freemans Park Body Corporate, not the tenants.
We often get asked about Airbnb potential. The Body Corporate must approve a unit being used for Airbnb, or a similar short-term online rental channel. This is because our insurance and local planning laws only allow a very small number of such temporary short-term residents to stay at any time. Yes, we know – we didn’t make this rule, we just have the job of enforcing it!
Selling
Freemans Park will miss you, but we know that sometimes a change is needed or has to happen.
Please ensure your real estate agent is aware of the important information we have provided below for them.
Please also take care when moving your or your tenants’ furniture and other items out of the unit and building.
Thank you for being part of our community, and all the very best for the sales process.

Real estate agent information
Drone photography
As the Body Corporate uses commercial drones to help manage its buildings and grounds, any agent wishing to use a drone at Freemans Park must seek prior approval.
For sale signage
The Body Corporate has pre-approved locations for real estate signage to be installed. Real estate signage must be removed from the grass berm (for which the Body Corporate is responsible) or the common property no later than 10 days after a listing ends or a property is sold, whichever occurs first.
Open homes
A listing agent may display temporary open home signage (including banners and contact/directional stakes) on the common property or a grass berm for which the Body Corporate is responsible. This signage is for the sole purpose of advertising that an open home is happening.
Disclosure documentation
The Body Corporate Manager will provide section 146, section 147, and other disclosure documentation to owners. These documents may be requested by either the property owner or the listing agent on the owner’s behalf. A Body Corporate-approved fee will be payable for this service.
